Why do I want to support you?
My passion for childbirth and desire to support other women began while I was preparing for the birth of my child at the Twin Cities Birth Center. I started learning about childbirth as the physiological process that it is, and my fear turned into excitement and anticipation.
Throughout my birth prep journey, I learned that so often the traumatic experiences that women have are related to interventions (sometimes unnecessary) where they aren’t able to make an informed decision. I also learned that hospitals aren’t always able to provide the level of support a laboring mother needs, and the partners don’t always know how to help. Mothers need more support and advocacy.
I want to be by your side offering you all the physical support and emotional assurance. I want to be that source of comfort for women by helping them feel seen, heard, and confident in their choices. Regardless of your birthing preferences, I’m here to help make your experience a positive and empowering one.
